  1. Peaches and Eric,
This discussion is a real eye opener. I want to keep my eyes and ears open and learn to dare to speak up when I see injustice.
See you on Aug 10th to learn more from you!

  2. Thank you..We don’t have a website yet. Save the date 10/5 from 4-7 pm at Stewart Park Large Pavillion for AEER community gathering.
I have an address you can send checks to, and email for direct pay. Email me for more info: Melissag321@duck.com and let me know what you prefer. Additional inquiries to aeerforjustice@gmail.com

  3. Hello, Peaches. I was at the rally on the commons on March 4, and at the celebration of Indivisible Ithaca on Feb. 23, and thank you for your powerful words! I have had some involvement in the movement to protect the environment (Mothers Out Front, Extinction Rebellion), and I always notice that most activists in these efforts are white, like me. I’m uncomfortable with that, and I would like to get involved in AEER. I would like to learn ways to develop trust and acknowledge common values with BIPOC. The story about your grandsons was hard to hear! Racism makes me cry, but I don’t know what to do about it! Please let me know how I could get involved in your efforts.

  4. PS. Merrill Hurst here. I understand that there are reasons why the BIPOC community may not engage in the environmental movement. But the threats that face us with Donald Trump’s presidency have the potential to effect ALL Americans in a negative way, SOON, and I wish the BIPOC community would feel comfortable getting involved. I would like to facilitate that in any way I can.

  6. Merrill Hurst again. Please add to my previous post; “And I know that starts with building relationships.”
